A cluttered mind makes it hard to concentrate and saps your ability to be “present”.

  • If you think a good place to keep reminders is in your head, think again! Neuroscience research indicates these “open loops” hurt your productivity.
  • Do a “brain dump” of everything that’s on your mind…journaling and writing lists of things that are on your mind can help clear mental clutter. Go to our blog post on the “Master Project List” for more info.
  • Take a moment to meditate…my favorite meditation apps are HeadSpace and Abide. If you don’t have ten minutes, do it for two. Even two minutes can make a huge mental difference!
