With technology changing so quickly, we often have tech accessories that are no longer relevant…this means “low-hanging fruit” for your decluttering efforts!
- Do a once-around in your house in all the spots where you may keep tech cords. Put all of the cords together on the kitchen table so you get a total picture of what you have. These cords may belong to phones, tablets, laptops, headphones or other tech items.
- Set aside any cords that are obsolete. For information on ewaste recycling, visit the Opala.org ewaste page. There you can also check out the “Go Green” events schedule where you can discard ewaste.
- Use a label maker to label all the cords you are keeping so that you can easily identify (without thinking) what device a cord belongs to.
