Photo Organizing Boot Camp: STEP 14 – STORE PRINT PHOTOS

While digitizing and backups are a part of a complete photo management plan, you also need to ensure that original print photos that you choose to keep are being preserved safely.

Store in archival-safe materials (acid free).  (See our detailed photo organizing resource guide which includes the archival products we recommend.)

If physical space is a concern, consider digitizing all your photos but then discarding the less precious print photos after everything have been digitized. In this scenario, you’ll keep only the “best and brightest” originals in print.
